Video analysis of real world problems

Videos offer valuable insights into the real world problems. The you tube video on water pollution posted in the Video library section of this website, for example, demonstrates this fact. Addressing the core concerns of the environment such as water pollution needs a more grass root level involvement of researchers, planners and administrators. Data sharing between the stake holders is a vital issue when it comes to management of environmental issues.

About this blog

Knowledge in the tacit dimension includes skills, experiences and insights and are invisible objects. Senior professionals own vast repositories of soft knowledge which if documented and shared could transform the contours of Human Resource Development. Though there are severe constraints in the capture of these invisible knowledge assets, there have been some break throughs too. The Video approach put forward by the Rosetta Spacecraft team is worth mentioning here (http://www.emeraldinsight.com/journals.htm?articleid=1545638&show=html). Project debriefing is yet another useful methodology for this purpose (http://www.assoa.nt.edu.au/MATERIALS/ppd/debriefing.pdf). Personal experience with the production of teaching videos compels me to say that the video approach is a handy tool for this.
